MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I'm Shofa
In my personal time just before the pandemic, I started a local project in Newham, called Ashok’s Vision International, focusing on Youth Mental Health Wellbeing. I set it up in memory of my brother Ashok Ali, to help raise awareness of the importance of mental wellbeing and to encourage positive youth engagement.
Working seven days a week for four years has brought rewards. We are now a fully registered charity with a permanent base in the heart of Newham, London! Working with a range of partners and stakeholders.
Since the pandemic, along with a team of youth volunteers we run a weekly market stall where self-care items were given to young people for free and where we now continue a weekly youth led nature and biodiversity project for the community.
For over a year now we have managed to consistently deliver a weekly stall at Woodgrange Market place E7, engaging young people in PLANTING sessions!
The essence of my brother Ashok Ali is something that has resonated and inspired so many young people over the last four year. That has made all the effort and sacrifice worthwhile.
Thank you for visiting us and for all your support.
